Applying for Financial Aid

When applying for financial aid, students are considered for YSE scholarships, work study, Federal Direct Loans (for U.S. citizens and permanent residents), and Yale International Loans (for international students).

We are need blind. Applying for financial assistance and having financial need in no way affects our decision to offer you admission.

You must apply for financial assistance by completing the appropriate form(s) below.

You must have an account within the Masters Application System in order to access the YSE Financial Aid Application as a prospective student. You may create an account at any time before the admissions deadline.

If you miss the deadline for the year for which you are applying for admission to YSE, you will not be considered for financial assistance. The only exception is for Yale College and Yale-NUS applicants to the Five-Year Program, who may apply for financial aid by the deadline for the year in which they plan to enroll.

Estimate if necessary when reporting your financial information. Exceptions to the deadline are not allowed if final year-end figures are not available.

You will receive a confirmation after successfully submitting these forms.
