From day trips to Yale-Myers Forest in Connecticut’s Quiet Corner to summer field experience in South Central Colorado, much of YSE learning takes place outside of the classroom — through the programs’ many opportunities for field research and experiential learning.
We can’t achieve a sustainable future without achieving equity and justice. At YSE, we are working to create a sustainable future for all people and the planet and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for students, faculty, and staff.
YSE alumni are working across numerous sectors — government, NGOs, business, academia — around the globe to develop innovative solutions to our biggest environmental challenges, and YSE's strong sense of community creates many opportunities for students to connect with this international network of our alumni.
The Office of Student Affairs works closely with other offices at YSE and Yale to help students achieve both personal and academic success from matriculation through graduation. Meet the student affairs team and learn more about the ways they support an inclusive community at YSE.
On any given day, YSE students have the opportunity to organize, host, and attend a wide array of conferences and events, including the YSE-sponsored New Horizons in Conservation Conference for students and professionals who are from underrepresented backgrounds in the conservation field, to national and international conferences, such as the Society of American Foresters (SAF) National Convention and the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP).
