YSE will offer an engaging and varied program for our in-person reunion, October 4-6, including time for classes and groups to reconnect and reminisce, opportunities to showcase alumni achievements and learn new things, and good old-fashioned fun.

    Reunion Weekend 2024
    Friday, October 4 - Sunday, October 6, 2024
    New Haven, CT

    In 2024 we will celebrate the classes of 2019, 2014, 2009, 2004, 1999, 1994, 1989, 1984, 1979, 1974, 1969, 1964, 1959, 1954, etc.

    Make plans now to join your classmates and generations of YSE alums in New Haven for Reunion Weekend! YSE Alumni from all classes and their families are invited.

    Now's the time to:

    • Arrange lodging for yourself or your group near YSE. YSE has arranged for a room block at The Study Hotel for October 4-6, 2024 for $249 a night. Rooms can be booked in this block through September 13. Link: Yale School of the Environment Reunion Weekend Room Block Guests can also call the Study 24/7 at 203-503-3900 and reference the Yale School of the Environment Reunion Weekend to book over the phone.
      You can also find a list of nearby hotels here, or team up to book a B&B or vacation rental, which can be a great way to catch up with friends and share costs. 
    • Volunteer to help reach out to classmates to make Reunion Weekend plans! If you are interested in volunteering, email us at alumni.yse@yale.edu
    • Join the Alumnifire group for your class year! Alumnifire is a great way to network, reconnect with classmates, and begin planning for your Reunion Weekend.

    Alumni Flash Talks

    5:00 pm – 5:45 pm

    Join students and alumni for a series of concise and engaging presentations and stories by alumni. 

    Reunion Weekend TGIF

    6:00 pm – 8:00 pm 
    Knobloch Environment Center, 3rd Floor, Kroon Hall  
    Kick off Reunion Weekend at TGIF with alumni, faculty, students, and staff. Hors d'oeuvres, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage options will be provided. 

    LGBTQAI+ Alumni Gathering

    Beginning at 8:00 pm  
    Marsh Rotunda, Marsh Hall 
    Alumni who identify as LGBTQAI+ are invited to join in this gathering as a chance to build connection and community. Light seasonal refreshments will be served.

    Individual classes are encouraged to arrange informal dinners/gatherings during this time. Coordinate with your friends and classmates to catch up on campus or at a local restaurant!

    YSE Alumni Awards Luncheon

    The luncheon provides an opportunity to recognize the impressive accomplishments of fellow alums and celebrate the YSE community.

    Tour of the Peabody Museum of Natural History

    2:30 pm – 4:00 pm   
    Yale Peabody Museum, 170 Whitney Ave 
    Explore over 5 billion years of natural history at the newly renovated Peabody Museum. Visit rejuvenated classics such as the first Brontosaurus, Stegosaurus and Triceratops specimens discovered by paleontologists, look back in time in the minerals, earth and Space exhibit, and see never-before displayed artifacts and contemporary art throughout the expanded museum.

    Alumni of Color Reception

    This event provides the opportunity for Alumni of Color to connect and build inter-generational relationships. Light refreshments will be served. Hosted by the YSE Alumni Association Board.

    Join us for a delicious al-fresco breakfast at the Yale Farm, and enjoy a student-led tour of this lively acre of land where students care for plants and animals to enrich their studies and explore the relationships between food, farming, people, and planet.

    Gathering Honoring Professor Graeme Berlyn

    Marsh Rotunda, Marsh Hall - 360 Prospect Street  
    Graeme Berlyn, E. H. Harriman Professor of Forest Management and Physiology of Trees, a beloved professor and world-renowned expert on the anatomy and physiology of plants and trees, taught at YSE for more than 60 years before his passing in February 2024 at the age of 90. Please join Graeme’s students, colleagues, admirers and family to honor him.

    Kroon Hall: Lessons Learned from a Decade on the Leading Edge

    Join Sara Smiley Smith ’07 M.E.Sc./M.P.H., ’16 Ph.D, Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs, Research and Sustainability at YSE, for a tour through the School's flagship building, its sustainability features, and what we have learned as we've studied and worked in Yale's first  LEED Platinum building over the last decade.
