Quite by design, Robert Little ’20 M.E.M. got the most out of his time at F&ES.

“The more you put into the Yale experience, the more you get out. For me, that meant packing my schedule and being surrounded with a rich set of experiences and people that I was more than happy to put time and effort into — and it paid back in high dividends.”
Little played a key role in the launch of the Yale Environmental Dialogue, serving as a research assistant for Professor Daniel Esty and even contributing to the book, “A Better Planet: 40 Big Ideas for a More Sustainable Future.” He also ran the Pathways in Business and the Environment program at the Center for Business and the Environment at Yale (CBEY), an integral resource for students considering careers in sustainability-oriented business. He served a full-term on the Student Activities Committee, was president of the Forestry Club, and was a teaching assistant for several F&ES faculty members.
His tireless engagement earned Little an internship last summer as an EDF Climate Corps Fellow at PepsiCo, improving the company’s recycling and sustainability efforts. Upon graduating, he will take a second EDF Climate Corps Fellowship — this time with Google’s sustainability team on their Circular Economy Initiative.
