  • PhD Student

Katy is a PhD student at the Yale School of the Environment. Her research focuses on how companies can reshape their business models to transition toward a net-zero economy. More specifically, she explores how internal strategies and external pressures, such as regulation and voluntary initiatives, can support corporate climate action.

Before coming to YSE, she worked at a climate tech start-up where she led the development of their Climate Risk Assessment tool. During her masters, she worked with researchers at the Earth Institute to explore methods to model tropical cyclone vulnerability using open-source data, alongside working as a contributing author to the IPCC’s sixth assessment report.

Katy holds a BA (Hons) in Geography from the University of Cambridge, and a MA in Climate and Society from Columbia University’s Climate School where she was a Fulbright Scholar.
