  1. YSE, AmeriCorps Partner for New Scholarship Program

    The Yale School of the Environment has announced a new scholarship program for incoming students who formerly worked with AmeriCorps, a federal program that fosters civic engagement through service and volunteering to address poverty, the environment, education, and other unmet human needs.
  2. Future U.S. Conservation Leaders Named 2022 Wyss Scholars

    Three Yale students — Annie Miller ’23 MEM, Molly Ryan ’23 MEM, and Jane Jacoby ’24 MF/JD ’24 — have been named 2022 Wyss Scholars, a program that supports the graduate-level education of a new generation of leaders in U.S. land conservation.
  3. Celebrating the Legacy of F. Herbert Bormann

    Bormann, who taught at YSE from 1966-1992, was one of the scientists credited with the discovery of acid rain and his research was a major contributory factor towards the amendments to the Clean Air Act in 1990.
  4. Paul Anastas Wins the 2021 Volvo Environment Prize

    Known as the ‘father of green chemistry,’ Anastas is recognized for revolutionizing the chemical industry with the principle that environmental hazards can be eliminated through thoughtful upfront design.
  5. Coral Vita Wins Earthshot Prize

    Coral Vita, a commercial land-based coral farm founded by YSE alumni Sam Teicher and Gator Halpern, recently won the inaugural Earthshot Prize, which supports innovative solutions to the climate crisis.
