In the absence of a Geography Department, The Spatial Collective is the hub for geographic research and spatial thinking at Yale. The Spatial Collective is a community of students, faculty, staff, and research centers from across the university interested in all things geographic or geospatial. Some of the interests of our community members include geographic information systems (GIS), remote sensing, biogeography, the politics of maps, cartography, human geography, and much more. The group facilitates MapChats (informal geography seminars), workshops, and a weekly digest of geography-related events on campus.
