The SDLAC SIG was born out of both student initiative and collaboration with the Council on Latin American and Iberian Studies (CLAIS) at The MacMillan Center. They bring speakers and host discussions, to reflect on the climate-resilient activities made by sustainable cities and human settlements. These discussions allow students to learn about the innovations taking place to solve the most pressing environmental challenges with a specific focus on the interplay between local agriculture challenges and global markets.
They also organize and host the
Sustainable Development in Latin America and the Caribbean (SDLAC) conference.
