In my research, I use concepts and frameworks from industrial ecology, sustainability transitions, and policy studies. I have particular strengths in material flow analysis (MFA) and life cycle assessment (LCA). My recent work focused on the diffusion of low-carbon technologies, co-processing of waste in cement production, and policies for extended producer responsibility.
My teaching experience covers mostly industrial ecology and waste management. At UCL, I designed and taught the course Waste Management and Resource Efficiency, for final year students from across the engineering department (17/18 & 18/19). At Yale, I co-teach the course Industrial Ecology, which is offered in the Master of Environmental Management.
