Stanley Tan

Stanley Tan is a PhD student at Yale University and a Cullman Fellow at the New York Botanical Garden. He joined the Comita Lab at the Yale School of the Environment as a Doctoral Student in Fall 2024 and is also a recipient of the Quad Fellowship. He is interested in studying how plant and microbial communities interact to influence the plant diversity and ecology of tropical forests. Prior to his doctoral studies, Stanley worked at the United Nations Climate Change Secretariat and was a visiting researcher at the Yale Applied Science Synthesis Program. He obtained a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Environmental Studies from the National University of Singapore.
