Faith Taylor is a DMV (D.C, Maryland & Virginia) native and is currently a PhD candidate at the Yale School of the Environment. Her dissertation research focuses on environmental hazard exposure & natural disaster risks in carceral facilities  (prisons, jails, juvenile detention centers, and immigrant detention centers) throughout the United States. Faith has worked for the Prince George’s County Maryland Planning Commission, the U.S. Department of Energy, and the Maryland Department of Natural Resources. She holds a B.S in marine science-biology from the University of Tampa and an M.S in marine, estuarine and environmental sciences with a concentration in environment and society from the University of Maryland- College Park. Faith is also a proud vegan and a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated.
