This clinic  will explore a variety of  specific land use, environmental, and sustainable 
development topics that are of current concern and relevance to the field, to the 
curriculum, and to society.   Each term,  the  professor teaching the course will 
identify and lecture on specific topics that relate to the Land Use Law Center’s work. 
This spring,  students will explore  community development and distressed property 
remediation,  how to overcome  local  barriers to small-scale solar  installations,  local 
impacts associated with hydrofracking and the  planning and  regulatory framework
in place to mitigate those impacts, and transit oriented development initiatives.
Students will work with  the  professor teaching the seminar to develop papers, 
publications, and research memoranda on the topic covered. Additionally, students 
will attend  field trips relevant to the topic  covered  and participate in project 
meetings with Center staff and clients.
