    No prior background in communication or environmental science is required.

    Tuition & Payments

    The full tuition includes all coursework, capstone guidance, peer-to-peer interaction, and access to online platforms and discussion forums. The cost is $3,000 USD, paid up front.  Alternatively, tuition can be paid in two installments of $1,500 each.

     

    Payments Schedule and Refund Policy

    Payment is due April 21, 2026.

    If paying in two installments, the first Installment of $1,500 is due April 21, and the second installment of $1,500 is due May 20, 2026. Full refunds are offered for withdrawals made by May 22, 2026.

    Discounts

    A limited number of discounts may be offered to applicants. Discount details will be available during the admissions process.

    2. Short answer questions:
      • Why are you interested in taking this program?
      • Throughout the program, you will develop a strategic communication plan for an organization that you have a direct relationship with. The organization could be a company, a non-profit, a candidate or elected official, a government agency, etc. The organization must be facing some issue, opportunity, or obstacle related to its work on climate change. Your job is to develop a strategic communication plan to help the organization address this situation. By the end of the program, you will have constructed a campaign plan that the organization can implement. What organization and/or project are you planning to develop a communication plan for?
    3. Resume or CV (maximum three pages)

    Considerations

    Participants must have a high proficiency in English in order to learn from the written and recorded presentations, complete written assignments and engage in thoughtful discussion with peers and instructors during live sessions. You will be asked to rate your English skills in the online application. Test scores are not required, but you will have the opportunity to share any test scores with us during the application process.

    There is no application fee. 

    A limited number of discounts may be offered. Details will be available during the admissions process. 

    Technical Requirements

    To participate in this program, you’ll need reliable access to:  

    • Computer, laptop, or tablet that can play audio and video

    • Stable internet connection (minimum speed of 600 kbps recommended)  

    • Webcam and microphone for online meetings

    • Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel — or equivalent software

    Equipment and software are the responsibility of the participant and will not be provided by Yale University.
