The Office of Career and Professional Development (CPD) supports students and alumni in all stages of their professional growth for leadership roles in environment and sustainability related scientific, academic, and management careers across a broad spectrum of sectors and fields.

    As a student at YSE, you’ll have access to a specialized team of career advisors who offer individualized sessions providing general career advice, resume and cover letter reviews, interview techniques, and help with salary negotiations, networking skills, and internship planning. You will also have access to specialized job listings from employers that we work with across the globe as well as international networking opportunities with Yale alumni.

    Career Counseling

    As a student at YSE, you can bring all your career questions to CPD. We offer individualized career counseling sessions with CPD team members as well as resume, cover letter, and personal statement review by our peer career advisors.     Jobs and Fellowships

    Each year CPD facilitates opportunities to meet, interview, and network with a broad group of employers across the globe through recruiting events, all-Ivy career fairs, and job listings. Our online job database, YSE Next (CAS login) offers students access to a central resource for job and internship postings.
     

    Summer Experience

    Master’s degree students at YSE are required to spend between 10 and 12 weeks in the summer working on a research project or summer internship. Our summer experience offers opportunities for students to gain professional experience, build networks, and investigate potential career paths first-hand.
