SENIOR SUPPLY MANAGER

A nationally recognized carbon management company is seeking a dynamic individual who
is knowledgeable about global climate change issues, and passionate about advancing renewable energy and other carbon offset sources. This senior supply manager will be responsible for securing supply of renewable energy credits and carbon emission reductions as part of a fast-paced team for a rapidly growing carbon management company, based in the Burlington, Vermont area.

Responsibilities include:  assessment and procurement of renewable energy credits and carbon emission reductions from US and internationals sources to comply with industry recognized certification and verification standards; development and negotiation of project owner and broker contracts; management and optimization of supply inventory; and data collection/monitoring/reporting of project sources.

Requirements: BA/BS in business, engineering, energy/environmental science, or equivalent experience; extensive knowledge of renewable energy and the carbon market; voluntary carbon market certification and verification standards knowledge; CDM certification and creation of Project Design Documents (PDDs) experience; policy expertise in international carbon offsets, US voluntary carbon market, and US current and pending compliance markets in RPS, RGGI, and other GHG reduction programs;  financial and emissions markets knowledge including options trading, futures, and hedging strategies.  Regular business travel will be required.

Other skills: proficiency in MS Office (including PowerPoint); excellent verbal and written communication skills; independent and team work proficiency; complex web-based research experience; solid knowledge of global climate change issues and related environmental studies and issues.
