Traffic Safety Petition - please sign - no personal info necessary

Calling all FES students!  Tired of cars on the New Haven streets controlling your biking and pedestrian lives?  Please sign this petition for safer streets in New Haven.

There have been some major car-pedestrian and car-bicycle deaths in the last few months in New Haven and New Haven residents are petitioning the City of New Haven to make our streets safer.  Do you not ride your bike on Whitney Avenue because you’re afraid of the traffic?  Think pedestrians are hot?  Want more bike lanes?  Please take a moment to sign this petition on traffic safety.  It only asks for your name, city and state and you don’t have to be a New Haven resident to sign.

Traffic accidents in Connecticut and around the nation are becoming more and more common.  Although it isn’t in New Haven, this is a recent video from a surveillance camera in Hartford of a 78-year old man who was killed by a hit and run.  The video isn’t for the light hearted but highlights just how important it is for us to do something about too many cars being on the road and driving too dangerously.  Thanks all for signing the petition and making a little difference!  See everyone in the fall!

Justin
