Summer internships with Climate Culture, LLC

As many of you know, I’ve been working for a new startup company, Climate Culture, for the last few months working to build an online social community devoted to a low carbon lifestyle. We are in the process of creating a market leading carbon footprint and commitment calculator to allow users to create high-resolution estimates of their current carbon emissions and quantify emission reductions and cost savings associated with discrete actions such as purchasing energy efficient appliances or reducing personal energy use. The company seeks to provide an easy solution for individuals who want to reduce their emissions but do not know where to find accessible and accurate information on actions they can take.

Clif bars by the case?

Durfees, the university run convenience store at Old Campus, has recently started taking orders for certain items such as Clif bars, Luna bars, Odwalla bars, Nature Valley and many other items (I don’t have a complete list) by the case. If you have a SIG event or activity coming up and need snacks, or simply burn through these items on your own, they can place an order with their distributors. I can probably get a full list of items and prices if you contact me (daniel.peerless@…) or stop by the store and ask for the manager.

are you missing a white scarf?

there is a scarf in my mail folder that isn’t mine- it’s not very long, it’s white and it’s thin, with tassels at the end and made out of some fleecey material.  feel free to take it- my mail folder is on the left, it’s the one with all the markers and glitter in it.

Do you need a ride to Bradley airport?

I am starting to strongly consider driving to BDL and coughing up the $75 to park there during spring break rather than taking the CT limo or hoping someone else will drive me.  This is useful to you!  You can get a ride with me, maybe, and we will both pay less money since you will chip in for gas, yes?
