Help Create a Vision of Forestry for the 21st Century!

On October 1, 2007 students from across Canada, the United States, and around the globe will gather at the Global Vision of Forestry in the 21st Century Congress in Toronto, Canada, to discuss and create our own vision of forestry for the century.   A group of students from five North American universities have developed a survey that is intended to garner a greater understanding of how students perceive forestry and forest conservation today.   Information obtained from these surveys will be analyzed and presented at a student and recent graduate workshop on the evening of October 1st.  The intent of the workshop is to give students an opportunity to discuss future challenges and trends in forestry, and allow students to develop their own vision of forestry.  This vision will be presented to the general Congress later in the week.  A report will also be submitted to the Congress planning committee for dissemination in the Congress proceedings.
