Anyone interested in attending this free Greek cultural celebration? It looks like a fun chance to eat, drink, and be merry (in Greek). I’m especially interested in various types (Epirot, Macedonian brass, Rebetica, etc.) Greek music, although I don’t know what styles the Hellenic Company performs.
Studious foresters, My favorite desk and chair need a good home. The wooden desk has three small drawers and is about 4 or so feet long. The chair will happily roll across your floor and is adjustable office-style chair. I would like to loan them to you for FREE for the next 9-12 months. I need to move them tomorrow afternoon and you must have some way to move the desk (i.e. a biggish car or an inventive bike solution, which is what I used). My moving company, PODS, has willfully breached our contract by refusing to comply with the terms agreed. This has left me in a bad position where they have all my worldly posessions and I need to find a spot for them to deliver the POD on Friday afternoon, 9/1, with a pickup on Saturday, 9/2. The POD is a shipping crate that takes up about the amount of room of two parking spaces, which eliminates an on-street solution. I’m looking for anyone who has off-street parking lot space or yard space to offer for that time. $50 will be provided for your inconvenience. I will be shuttling the contents from the container to my apartment at Orange and Grove in a small car, so the closer to East Rock and the Grad Ghetto the better - but any solution is welcome. I’ll be away at the Yale-Meyers mod this week and, while out of contact, my parents are handling the details in my absence.
