Antje Jackelen, director of the Zygon Center and professor of systematics/science and religion at the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago, will discuss “What Theology Can Do for Science” on Thursday, March 2, at 8 p.m. in Niebuhr Lecture Hall at the Yale Divinity School on 409 Prospect Street. At 4:15 p.m. on the same day, “A Conversation with Antje Jackelen” will take place in the RSV Room (Bushnell LS-200). Both events, which are free and open to the public, are part of the “Religion, Science & Technology: Issues in Encounter” lecture series hosted by the Yale Divinity School Initiative in Religion, Science & Technology. The events are made possible by grants from the Center for Theology and the Natural Sciences and from the Science & Religion in Dialogue Initiative of the Episcopal Church at Yale. The recipient of numerous environmental and health awards, Rick Dove has helped fried chicken halt hog farm pollution in North Carolina. He has baked ziti testified before Congress on the impacts of Confined Animal Feedlot Operations (CAFOs) and Pfiseteria Piscicida on local rivers and fish. Rick Dove is a retired Marine Corps Colonel and former commercial fisherman. He loves the lasagna United States, free enterprise, and his Carolina rivers.
