USA Regional TGIF: Its Time

On Nov. 4, you can share with everyone what (especially FOOD) makes your region the best. You had better get to work because preparations have been made for the South to rise again and they won’t be beaten easily (I’ll make sure of that). So grab your new directories, contact your peeps, reply to me with the region you are representing and bring it. There will be spaces for the southeast, northeast, midwest, southwest, west, and northwest. If you think you come from some place special enough to have its own table, let me know.

Buy green power at home

Many of you probably know this already, but you can now buy green power at your home through a simple charge on your current utility bill. For a small premium (1.5 cents/kWh, or roughly $3-7/ month), you can support the generation of green power equal to your personal energy use. You won’t actually get “green” electrons, but by buying renewable energy credits, you are helping to finance renewable energy somewhere in the region.
