IM Soccer

The intramural soccer session starts on Sunday, Sept. 25 (all games are on Sunday except for Sat/Sun tourney in Oct.) and I would like to have an FES team competing. The team roster is due on Sept. 16. If you are interested in playing, please email and let me know know your approxiamate skill level so we can choose the right league to join. This will be fun and friendly competion welcome to all skill levels. So, join up and get rid of some stress by kicking a ball around.

List of Hurricane Charities - Donate!

Y’all, I know we’re all poor graduate students, but think of $15 as one dinner you cook at home instead of eat out. Because of the hurricane there are many people who are in a lot of need right now. We can argue the questionable wisdom of maintaining a below sea-level city with a system of levees and have conferences about how this catastrophe was inevitable and is yet another manifestation of climate change at a later date, but maybe, in the moment, we can also feel compassion for our fellow humans and give some money to help out people in need. These sites pasted below list a bunch of reliable charities, many of which have online donation as an option.
