About

Broadly, I am interested in drawing on insights and approaches from both ecology and evolutionary biology as means to increase our knowledge of the natural world.  The overarching goal of my research is to develop understanding of the response of organisms to human induced changes in the environment.  In particular, my research is focused on investigating the consequences of road adjacency and runoff on wetland dwelling amphibians.  My research questions concern both the immediate consequences of roads (such as developmental effects) and the long-term consequences (such as population divergence and inherited environmental effects).  I use a combination of field and laboratory experiments coupled with observational studies to address these questions.
