About

I am a 5th year doctoral student pursuing a combined degree in Anthropology and Forestry and Environmental Studies.  My research interests include political ecology and the anthropology of environment and development, agrarian studies, and political anthropology.  I work in India, and recently completed 18 months of doctoral fieldwork in the central Himalayan state of Uttarakhand where I examined the promotion and practices of commercially-oriented organic agriculture.
