I am a PhD student in Yale’s Environment School (F&ES), where I work as part of the Environmental and Natural Resource Economics Group and the Seto Urbanization and Global Environmental Change Group. My dissertation examines the impact of market reforms and regulatory policies on China’s urbanization process and the implications of that transition for energy use and environmental outcomes. The project integrates information from the national census, construction agencies, and earth orbiting satellites to improve the statistical identification of policy impacts. I also currently serve as a contributing author to the 5th Assessment Report (WG III) of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
