Lawrence Rodman spent his first career as a corporate lawyer in New York City. His law practice concentrated in corporate finance and general corporate advisory work. In 2014, Larry “retired” from the practice of law, and came to Yale FES as a student to pursue a MEM degree with a focus on climate change issues. He now works as a consultant at Aligned Intermediary, an investment advisory group created to help long-term investors – pension funds, endowments, insurance companies, sovereign funds, family offices, and foundations – accelerate and increase the flow of private, for-profit capital into climate infrastructure projects and organizations in the areas of clean energy, water infrastructure, and waste-to-value. AT FES, Larry is teaching Private Investment and the Environment: Legal Foundations and Tools, a course aimed at giving students professional skills to help them in mobilizing private capital to support environmental projects and goals. Larry serves as Chair of the Board of InsideClimate News, and as a member of the Advisory Board of the Yale Center for Environmental Law and Policy.
