About

I recently completed my PhD at FES where I critically examined the concept of 'wastelands' as it relates to India's biofuel program through an interdisciplinary industrial and political ecology framework. This year, as a Postdoctoral Associate at the Yale Center for Industrial Ecology, I will expand this framework by analyzing the history of wasteland development in India and the resultant shifts in human-environmental relations.

Prior to FES, I earned a Master's in Public Policy from the Richard & Rhoda Goldman School of Public Policy at UC Berkeley and an undergraduate degree in economics from The George Washington University. Prior to returning to graduate school, I worked as an economic consultant in Washington, DC examining the impacts of electricity market deregulation in the US.
