Research Overview

At Yale I participate in interdisciplinary research groups focused on human ecology, environmental anthropology, and agrarian studies. I conducted undergraduate research on impacts of hydroelectric development and the Inter-American Highway in southern Costa Rica, and I have been trained in tropical ecology and ethnobiology field techniques. Prior to graduate school I worked as a research assistant for projects examining land use change in Virginia, forest ecology in Connecticut, and the psychology of judgment and decision making.
