About
Professor Chen has conducted various types of research projects in the areas of tourism, hospitality, and service management including economic impact assessments, forecast model evaluations, tourist behavior analyses, geographic information system (GIS) applications in business development, and sustainable development. Her teaching interests include eco-tourism, tourism economics, tourism analysis, sustainable business, strategic management, and marketing for hospitality and tourism. She serves as an associate editor, guest editor, editorial board member, paper reviewer, and track chair for 15 refereed journals and 4 national / international associations. Recently, she has concentrated her research on valuing sustainable tourism business and environment. Professor Chen is a Fulbright Senior Scientist.
