Seeing Like a Donor!

Daniel Miller, Program Associate for Conservation and Sustainable Development at the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, will present some reflections on the role of donors in international biodiversity conservation efforts. With particular reference to his experience at the Foundation, he will discuss recent trends in the funding landscape for conservation as well as other, often less-visible roles that donors can play in fostering effective conservation work. This session is intended to spur broader discussion about how donor, academic, and practitioner communities might enhance collaboration in the service of shared conservation goals.
