PROGRAM OVERVIEW: NEW for 2017-2018!
F&ES students begin their programs with a
Jumpstart – a set of optional workshops designed to familiarize students with skills they will need
while at F&ES. Held in tandem with the CDO Jumpstart on the mornings of 9/1 and 9/8, these sessions cover:
• Time maximization & management
• Professional communications
• Excel
• Citation management
• Working with teams
Modules offered throughout the year focus on skills that every graduate will need in their professional lives. Modules are held on Fridays and are led by best in class facilitators. Registration is required and space is limited. Topics include:

Cultural Competence

Fundraising
•
Stakeholder engagement
•
Facilitation

Project management
• Working with data
For-credit FES courses focus on topics that are best taught over time. These include:
• Financial Concepts for Environmental Managers
• Environmental Communicator
• Fundamentals of Working with People
Not-for-credit offeringsare organized by students and others over the course of the school year. Past skill-share topics include backpacking basics for researchers, Google drive, photography, etc. If you have a skill you would like to share with your peers, and would like to run a workshop this year, please
