Robert Repetto

Professor in the Practice of Economics and Sustainable Development

Teaching Statement

I currently teach three courses. The first, "The Economics of Sustainable Development", deals with environmental and resource economics with an emphasis on developing countries and policy applications. The second, "The Economics of the Climate Issue" addresses the problems of economic assessment of climate change impacts, adaptation and mitigation. It also covers policy design options for reducing or sequestering greenhouse gas emissions and the problems of obtaining voluntary international cooperation. The Third, "Financial Markets and the Environment", is cross-listed with the School of Management. It deals with the valuation of environmental exposures and the role of information in this process. Current experience in banking, insurance, equity research, and venture capital is explored.
