About

I currently live in Costa Rica, consulting in park planning, public use planning, conservation project design, interpretation, and freelance writer on a variety of topics from academic, magazine articles, to fiction. See www.jonkohl.com. I have worked for Rare for 7 years managing the Nature Guide Training Program, and founder of the Public Use Planning Program (supported by UNESCO's World Heritage Center). I have lived or worked throughout Mesoamerica and also Indonesia.

On the private side, I am working with a group of Costa Ricans to create an ecovillage in Costa Rica with a vision of long-term self-sufficiency. Check out www.querencia.co.cr
