Summer Internships Gallery - 2006
We are pleased to showcase pictures relating to summer research projects and internships that were taken by 12 of our school’s masters students.
Fanning out around the United States and world each summer, students undertake projects and work for host agencies to apply concepts learned in classes. The pictures on display here are graphically and geographically appealing, represent diverse sectors and areas of focus, and tell a story. We hope to make this exhibit an annual tradition.
A wide geographical representation can be found here. We have offerings from Hong Kong, Spain, Mozambique, Mexico, China, Guatemala, and Bhutan. And we have domestic shots from California, Missouri (by way of DC) and New York.
To name just a few of the topics, we have shots of research relating to wildlife issues, fishing and traditional farming, botanical medicinals and non-timber forest products, staffers of a busy NGO in action, urban issues, watersheds, and research being done on cooking methods that reduce indoor air pollution. There are even somewhat goofy shots that also tell interesting stories while showing some of our student interns.
Enjoy!
