Peer Career Advisors (PCAs)
Peer Career Advisors (PCAs) offer resume and cover letter review for F&ES students, as well as additional support for accessing the Career Development Office (CDO) resources. PCAs can offer you a backboard to bounce your career ideas off, help you articulate career goals, and provide new eyes and ideas on your written professional materials.
Weekly Hours:
Students can drop by to meet with Rebecca or Meredith during their weekly office hours. To meet at other times, please email to set up a time.

Thursday, 9-12, Meredith Trainor, Donaldson Commons
2009-2010 PCAs:
Rebecca Steinberg Rebecca McKay Steinberg is a first-year MeSc student at FES studying the human dimensions of wildlife management.
Meredith Trainor Meredith is a second-year MESc with several years of experience working in non-profits. Appointments will generally be for half an hour, but can be made for an hour if you think you would like more time.
PLEASE BRING A HARD COPY OF YOUR DOCUMENT OR DOCUMENTS FOR THE REVIEW.
A note from Rebecca: I am very excited to be a Peer Career Advisor (PCA) with CDO. I am from Saranac Lake, NY, but I have traveled around the country for the past three years as a wildlife technician. My most exciting moments include helping to capture and radiocollar a gray wolf in northwest Wyoming and being evacuated from National Park Service housing in southern CA during a wildfire that burned down the house.
I am eager to assist fellow students in preparing polished cover letters and resumes. My prior experiences in peer-education and cover letter/resume review have taught me that students largely under-utilize CDO resources and that they often wait until a deadline to seek assistance. So, please do not be shy and get help early!
My official drop-in hours are from 9am-12pm every Wednesday in the meeting room across from the CDO office located on the first floor of Sage Hall. I am also available to meet one-on-one outside of drop-in hours at a mutually convenient time and place. Please email me (Rebecca.steinberg@yale.edu) to arrange an informal and confidential cover letter/resume review meeting. I ask that you please email me your materials in advance so I have time to prepare and so that you can maximize your time.
All conversations are confidential.
