Joshua A. Nickerson Conservation Fund
Description: This fund was founded to support research in the natural and social sciences and natural resource conservation at Cape Cod National Seashore. Each year researchers and students are eligible to compete for small grants to support education and research that contribute to our understanding of the environmental processes occurring at Cape Cod National Seashore. Requests for funding through this Fellowship will be considered for up to $3000 per year. Seasonal housing and laboratory space may also be provided.
Eligibility: Successful participant(s) will be affiliated with a recognized research or academic institution, and will possess the enthusiasm and qualifications to carry out the proposed work with minimal involvement of seashore staff.
Deadline: Early March, (annually)

QLF/Atlantic Center for the Environment- Sounds Conservancy Grants Program
Description: Money is provided by the program to support conservation and restoration of the sounds of Long Island, Fishers Island, Block Island, Rhode Island, Martha's Vineyard, and Nantucket and the adjacent coastlines of CT, MA, NY, and RI. An average of $1,000 will be offered and will not exceed $2,500.
Eligibility: All university, college, and high school students, private individuals, and nonprofit organizations whose projects are within the region described above are eligible.
Deadline: Mid-March (annually)
The Norcross Wildlife Foundation - A.V. Stout Fund
Description: The A. V. Stout Fund is dedicated to supporting research grants for New England wildlife and its habitat as well as improving management techniques through innovative ideas and programs. The research, ideas and programs supported by the Fund will give resource administrators and policy makers better understanding in managing the political and environmental issues involved. The Fund's grants will average approximately $1000 and usually will not exceed $3000 (with possible exception).
Eligibility: All students, individuals and organizations whose projects are within the New England area and who are interested in the Fund's objectives, as outlined above, are eligible.
Deadline: Applications will be reviewed as received, and all applicants will be notified within one month as to the decision of the Selection Committee. On occasion, the Selection Committee will consider projects of a specific nature requiring urgency.
