Applying for Financial Aid - All Returning Students
All students must apply for financial aid every year to be considered for any financial aid assistance.
Returning U.S. and Permanent Resident students renewing their financial aid awards must complete the on-line FAFSA, the on-line F&ES financial aid application, and submit their previous year's US Federal tax returns (signed 1040s, W-2s/1099s and schedules) by April 5, 4:00pm:

- Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA on the web) FAFSA provides the government with information on your financial resources. The FAFSA on-line form is available here. The Yale F&ES School code is 001426. Apply as soon as possible, beginning January 1. You may need the previous year’s income information to complete the FAFSA. FAFSA data must be received by the Financial Aid Office no later than April 5, 4:00pm.
- School of Forestry and Environmental Studies Returning Students Financial Aid Application This completed on-line form is also required for all returning students.
- U.S. or Canadian Federal signed Tax return (1040, 1040A or 1040EZ), including all schedules and W-2s, 1099s or related income documents.
