Ecosystem Measurements for Conservation and Restoration

This course is intended to expose students to a variety of field and laboratory methods used in conservation science. This course is split into 2 parts. During the first part of the semester students will gain experience in a broad range of field and lab methods and analysis with applied conservation relevance (e.g., carbon stocks, biodiversity). The second half of the semester is a practicum where students will design, conduct, analyze and present data as a rapid assessment of a local property of conservation interest to local conservation organization(s).
