Should I Come Out In My Job Search?

Coming out is always a private decision. You should determine how important it is to you to be out at work and whether or not you will be out on your application, client pitch, contract bid or during your interview. Listing an LGBT affiliation (with relevant applicable skills and accomplishments) on your resume or cover letter may be a way to find out early in the process whether a prospective employer is likely to treat you fairly. -- Out At Work, Lambda Legal, Chapter Two
