Applying for Financial Aid - New U.S. and Permanent Resident Students

All students must apply for financial aid every year to be considered for any financial aid assistance. The deadline to complete Yale FES financial aid forms is February 15, 2007.
U.S. citizens applying for financial aid must complete our application procedure and submit copies of their tax returns and W2s annually.

U.S. and Permanent Resident students applying for financial aid must fill out three forms by February 15:

  1. Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) FAFSA provides the government with information on your financial resources. FAFSA forms are available in public libraries and here. The Yale F&ES School code is 001426. Apply as soon as possible, beginning January 1. You may need the previous year’s income information to complete the FAFSA.
  2. School of Forestry and Environmental Studies Financial Aid Application This important form assists the F&ES Financial Aid Office in matching student applicants with restricted development scholarships. The form also allows students to calculate their future income which may be different from the information entered on the FAFSA.
  1. Family Support Form Applicants are required to report any parental financial assistance on the Family Support Form.
